Scary incident at the range

I'd be very leary about shooting any more of those. I know you can't return ammo to most places, but I think you have a good reason to do so.

Glad you're not hurt.
I'd suggest weighing the remainder looking for any anomalies. I'm setting up a 300 BLK AR pistol for my son. The lower has 5.56 engraved. I placed a label on it with 300BLK.

They fit in perfectly. People make mistakes. He probably won't make the same mistake but if your attention gets diverted while you are loading a mag I could see it happening especially if you are not aware that it is even possible.

One of the reasons the .300 Blackout got so popular is that buying new mags isn't really necessary. I guess some guys do anyway to help with different bullet weights and cartridge lengths? Until now though I had no clue the .300 would actually chamber in a 5.56. Glad no one got hurt.

VERY few threads better validate the value of "free" information gleaned off the internet.

Amazing... Instruction sheets? Who need dem? Throw'em away...

Was shooting AR yesterday. About 10 or 11th shot the rifle blew up. I was shooting factory rounds from a reputable manufacturer (bulk box of 1000). At the shot I felt powder hit my face. The bottom was blown out of the magazine and several rounds in the mag were dented/deformed. Bottom of bolt carrier was mangled. Got home and got the bolt back and this is what is left of the case and the projectile that came out has me dumbfounded. Take a look at pics and tell me your thought please. I'm guessing 350 Legend? Winchester white box had issues 3 years ago with OAL , usually blows spent primer into buffer tube. Doesn't look like bolt locked. Extremely glad you're physically UN injured.

This thread is starting to become funny. See post 100 and the mystery is solved in post 36.
But you are free to continue to ponder on it if you prefer.

I have made a mistake loading a 223 in a 6.8 spc chambering. Not a catastrophic result but a learning experience to keep the two very strictly segregated. The 6.8 mags are now taped with neon orange masking tape as well as the ammo which I hand load.

Am I seeing that correct?
Bullet seated to base of brass. No powder only primer. Bizarre. Hopefully not purposely sabotaged.
I can't say enough- go buy a lottery ticket. You are fortunate.

The 30 cal bullet was swaged to 22 and the case blown out to straight wall.a pic may help to see its possible 6.5 Grendel,300bo,223 and a 450 Bushmaster
