I have had the chance to try the 140 grain 6.5 Sierra GameChanger on 3 deer now out of my 6.5 Creedmoor and I am unimpressed to say the least for lack of blood trails. All 3 deer had virtually no blood trails, 2 were recovered and last night I hit a doe that went into a thicket and lost her after a 2 year hour search and no blood.

I think the Gamechanger is a very stout bullet vs the ELD-M and ELD-X. I am going to try the ELD-M next go around and see if I get a bigger entrance wound to make sure there is some blood.

2 deer had small exits and the other don't know. Again I think these bullets are very tough and probably would be better for larger game than whitetail.

They might work better if you put then through the shoulder like a bonded bullet.

Seems they aren't as soft like an SST or Berger.

This is interesting. We shot a few deer and a bear with the 130 Gamechangers from the Creed. We had fantastic wound channels and 1.5"-2" exits and the longest run was a heart shot buck that ran 25 yards. Maybe the 140 is a stouter bullet. Our impact velocities were in the 2200 to 2600 fps range and performance was identical in that window.

see if you can find the 130 sierra hpbt gameking if you are staying under 400 or so it will hammer deer and the creed launches it at perfect FPS and they shoot like matchkings most time

I shot a very large whitetail doe this fall. 30 cal. 165 game changer. 305 yards high shoulder shot. DRT. Broke both shoulders. Couldn't find bullet. No exit hole in hide, but it had to be close to hide. Don't know if it fragmented in far shoulder blade, Couldn't find any fragments any where. Left my x- ray machine in my other pants pocket. There was bone fragments everywhere.

Five, One shot Kills this Year,..
My 21 y/o Grandson did 3, ONE Shot kills on, Deer with, his 6.5 PRC from, 220 to 465 yards using, the 143 ELD-X's and ALL did, ONE Hop,.. DRT !
My 12 y/o grandson, shot, a Muley at 265 yds with, a 87 gr. Berger HVLD, placed behind the "Crease", thru my .243, again One Hop,.. DRT !
I shot an Elk with, my .270 WSM ( 140 Cl hunters ) and instantly, "Heels and Hooves" with, a high shoulder shot that, Penetrated BOTH, Shoulder Blades and stuck in Hair on Far side with, MINIMAL, Meat loss.
With, the Bergers, there's usually, not much Blood,.. JUST,. DRT !
All, the Bullets, used.. did,. "well" AND our Family is, sticking with, THESE, Bullets !
Go to Barbour Creek on YouTube for, Bullet "results". The Sierra tipped, GK Bullets seem, "Hard" and did NOT fare "well", in Gel !
They'd probably would be OK, if used as, Shoulder Roast, shot's, tho ! ,.. See post 12, above !

Read, a lot of "good stuff" about, 130 - 140 grain Regular GK, Sierra's and Horn SST's, tho !
For Elk and Moose, we will, stick with, the Hunting,.. BERGERS !
