Thanks! He's definitely my best bull and feel incredibly lucky!Congrats! That's a bull of a lifetime in my book!
Thanks for the kind words! It's a great time of year!Congrats for the awesome bull and thanks for sharing the story and pics! Love it!
Thanks!Kudos!
And it shouldn't fall in a large puddle either as we have had no amount of rain out west.A LITTLE? Great bull and it wasn't in a steep rocky canyon!
Fortunately this pack out wasn't too terrible - I was able to get the polaris to within about 100 yards of the bull. I killed a cow across a canyon a few years back. It was fun packing her out with my brothers, but really was a lot more work than needed. Swore I wouldn't shoot an elk in that spot again. Next year, same spot, but a bull. I pulled the trigger and made a lot of work for myself haha.Three guesses where anything I shoot drops? Take your pick; ditches, water, vertical canyons, biggest rosehip patch I have ever seen! Killed 5x5 on ridge so steep that when my guide lifted head he started to slide down the ridge sitting on him! OMG He was screaming ROPE NOW!
But this is one great bull, great story and from heart. Makes blood to pump faster for sure. Someday it will drop on the 2 track going right way!
