Powder 6.5 PRC

I always cringe when I post my max load data. Please understand that the loads below represent max data in my rifle - not yours. Always start several grains lower and work up while looking for ant signs of pressure. For me, max load is one whole grain below where I first started to notice higher-than-normal pressure. With this rifle, it was usually a very light, but slightly sticky bolt lift. I worked up in 0.5 grain increments. I live in AZ so average temperature during testing was 72-75 degrees, probably warmer than what you will encounter when shooting.

Rifle Data:
Action: Tikka T3X
Barrel: Proof Research Carbon - 22" length and 1 in 7.5 twist
Brass: ADG 6.5 PRC
Primers: Fed 215 Mag Primers (will try 210's later)
Chrony: Magnetospeed V3

Barnes LRX 129 gr.
H4831 SC 56.5 gr. 3075 fps
H1000 59.0 gr. 3,105 fps

RL26 57.0 gr. 3,041 fps
Retumbo 60.0 3059 fps

Matrix VLD 160 gr. - (will substitute for Berger 156 EOL when I can find them)

That matrix round is very interesting. 2974 is Awesomesauce from a 22" barrel. I've got a similar setup and will have to entertain this. Got over 20lbs of RL26 also.

Unfortunately, I believe Matrix has been sold and/or gone out of business. Getting harder to find them. Hoping to score some Berger 156 gr. EOL's at some point in the next 12 mos. or so. I have enough matrix to get by until then.

That was my next question for you. If you had tried the 156 Berger. I've not had time to do any load development on my rig. I've got 300 of those 156 Berger's so it's all I'm planning on going with. Matrix website is down and you can't even access it.
