Has anyone experienced any difference in "pulldown" surplus powder compared to new powder?

Also, does anyone have a source for WC872 they would like to share. Bartlett's is only carring pulldown now.

I just got off the phone with Pat, and he said they only have about 100 lbs of WC-872 left.

He is not getting anymore.

They are replacing it with H-868 which is a tad bit faster than 872.

$40.00 for 8 lbs, plus HazMat fee.

If you are in a bind and can't get it from him, I may part with my 100 lbs stock pile.

Use 872 data and back off 5% - 10%.

What about T870 (thunderbird cartridge company) I have some that shoots pretty good? Is that the same powder?

That would make it close to US-869. But I haven't actually shot any 872.

If I had to choose between 872 and 869, the 869 would get my vote.

I'm down to 2 lb remaining out of an 8 lb cannister. I use it in the 270 AM and 338 RUM. I know where there's another 8# of the same lot #. I guess I scarf it up. I then be set for a lllllooooonnnngggg time.

I bought a sealed 100lb drum of which I have approx. 85 lbs. left. $5.00 per lb. you pay the shipping & hazmat or I would drive up to 100 miles to transfer FTF if that helps.
