7 saum 180 eld info

This may or may not be helpful, but 280AI and 7SAUM have near identical case capacities. As such I know some who feel the load data is interchangable. I have not measured this myself, but I see no reason to doubt it. As a suggestion, onec ould scout around for some 280AI load data (there is a good amount on this forum) to find a few more data points.

64.5 grains H1000 and 180 eldm with ADG brass and 24" barrel was 2890. Very accurate. .015 off the lands.

Well, I'm the proud new owner of a Remington 700 Ti in 7SAUM. Putting it in my Manners SL stock that has M5 inlet, using APA DBM with accurate mags so I can load out to 2.95"...

Is the Berger 180 hybrid a great bullet for elk???
The 180 hybrid was preferred over the 195 on elk killing from a 7mm-300wm by Jeff Brozovovich, who witnesses hundreds of elk being shot yearly. It had good expansion, but more importantly, consistent expansion, didn't have blow ups or pencils like the 195 had shown from time to time.

Just wondering what you came up with? I am thinking really hard on a 22" 7 SAUM build. I would really like a short action but want to shoot the 180 VLD or the ELD's
You need 24 and preferably 26 for the SAUM. Mine will be anywhere from 26 to 30 depending on weight and balance and whether I want it fluted.

168 Nosler Accubond Long Range is my choice, but the Berger will work too. Just may not expand down to 1300 fps.
