Alliant RL powders slower than RL 25

I am not familiar with Reloader powders slower than RL25, any input on list of RL powders slower such as RL23, RL26 and RL33? How are those powder's performance pushing the heavy bullets? I always used RL22 and RL25, but nothing slower than that.

RL33 has fast become our go to powder for the overbore magnums. Has been very reliable. I would recommend it.

Currently using RL26 in a .300WinMag with 208gn ELD-M's. Getting good velocity (3092fps) and good accuracy (.43").
I am very familiar with RL22 and RL25. I have loaded them in several rifles and cartridges and they have always given me good performance other than the temperature sensitivity. Of course, RL23 and 26 take care of this issue. JohnnyK.
 
I have not found a good burn rate chart for the new Alliant powders and the only one that is slower than the 25 is RE 33 and RE 50. I have nor seen any comparison of the 26 to any powders.

If anyone knows where a burn rate chart can be found on the new Alliant powders, Please share.

I read an ad that stated RL23 & RL26 are the same burn rate as RL22 & RL25 but with temp sensitivity reducing additives.

Would be good if we had a continuous supply of Alliant powders here, have always liked them.

Thanks, That is what I also understood, that's why I would like to see it on something that Alliant
printed. but they are very tight lipped on any loading info or comparison to other powders.

I would like to test the heat sensitivity of the RE 26 but have nothing to compare it to (Like RE 25) because there is no burn rate chart
and because many times we are at or over 100o and it seems 80 to 100+ is where all the pressures go crazy.

They are missing out on lots of sales because of the lack of information to the re loader (I just use Hodgdon extreme powders to be safe).

Where would be a good place to get info on hand load recipes for the newest powders from Alliant, if any? A link or two would be helpful for us curious minds? Thanks

Reloder 26 in 280 Ackley

Quoting myself from another forum...I tested it rather thoroughly in the 280 Ackley.

I would have to agree that 33 is not the same as 22 but Don't believe anything you hear and only half of what you read.

This is the reason that I would like to see a powder burn rate chart comparing "All" of the Alliant
powders to other powders.

Having load data for Alliant powders is not enough for the Reloader, especially if he has wildcats and is looking for different powders that have close to the same burn rate. I guess they don't want you to compare there powder to others.(For obvious reasons). I personally wont use "Any" powder unless I have a good comparison with other powders while working up loads for a first time wildcat
Because there are so many variables that could make it dangerous.

I like there powders, but want to be able to compare them to other powders to get the best overall performance. Some times a simple change to a slightly faster or slower powder will make all the difference in SD's and accuracy.

There is no one perfect powder, and we need the ability to be able find the best brand and burn rate of powders for max performance. Heat sensitivity can be a very important factor, but sometimes you have to go with the best powder for the cartridge and forgo the advantages of heat stable powders and make allowances for the change due to temperature.

If someone can get a good/current Alliant powder burn rate chart comparing it to others please post it for all to see. This chart should also have all of the latest powders they make.

Burn rate charts are not linear, but they will tell you if you are in the ballpark where to start based own other powders in the same class and burn rate.

I have worked with RL 26 on some loads and to me it appears to have a burn rate faster than RL25 so be cautious.
