I bought some straight run chicks for the wife and ended up with three cockerels that we cannot keep and I would like to give away FREE.
These are Black Australorps, a large breed and these guys are about 5-6 weeks old. Just starting to try to crow and would be ready to butcher as fryers in another few weeks. We've raised them from tiny chicks and the wife won't (knowingly) eat them.
The hens of this breed are known for plentiful production of large eggs and one of these soon-to-be roosters would be a good addition to a breeding flock.
I'm near BWI Airport in central MD and would drive up to about an hour to deliver/meet.
