I'm helping out a buddy mount a scope to his grandfather's rifle. Once I installed it and tried to bore sight it, I noticed the back scope base holes are slightly offset and not able to bore sight due to running out of windage adjustment. My question is this, is there a set of rings or any type of mounting that has windage adjustments AND rings for a 34 mm scope? Leupold has the STD ones for 1", but I can't seem to find a solution for something with 34 mm scope.

Leupold has the dovetail rings with the two screws in the back that let's you slightly move it side to side.

This is my thought process, if the base was purchased after the action was drilled, what did they use as a guide?

If it was available at the time it was drilled, did the use the rail as the guide? If so, how did they accomplish it without the rail being seated properly on the action?

Questions, I am curious to see what you figure out?
