Has anyone compared these 2 scopes? I have 2 of the now discontinued Diavari 4-16x50 scopes and wish I had a third. How does the new Conquest V6 compare especially in glass quality? Or would the Leupold VX5 or 6HD be even better of the now available scopes? Thanks.

I can't comment on the Conquest V6, however I can compare the Diavari to a Luepold VX-6 (not HD).

I have a Diavari 6-24x56, its pretty much the best glass I have ever used, especially in low light, as you probably know.

I have a Leupold 3-18x50 VX 6 and it is very, very, close to the Diavari, to my eyes. It is definitely in the same ballpark glass wise, which is something I was not expecting to ever say about Leupold. Love that scope and it is now my main hunting scope. It is much lighter, has zero lock, illuminated fire dot wind plex is perfect, tracks dead on.

I'm jealous of you though, always wished I had the 4-16x50 Diavari instead of the 6-24x56 because of weight and size.

Glad to hear that about the Leupold VX6. Just ordered a VX6HD today hoping in that magnification range it will be close to the older Diavari. And yes I have 2 of the 6-24x56 Diavaris also and they are perfect glass.
I notice your Santee name. You from SC?

Yes sir, from SC.

I think you will like the VX6 HD. I'm seriously looking at the VX5HD 3-15x56 for my next build. Good luck and let us know how you like it.
