Opticsplanet has this scope w/Plex reticle on sale for $1100 with free s/h.... With that being said if I were looking to put a scope on my Weatherby 30-378 that will be used 98% of the time for hunting, would THIS be the scope to go with or for $1100 would you put your money towards something else? If you would go elsewhere where would you go? Thanks

Jason

I've bought several demos from them, including a Zeiss HD5. They have full warranty. Nice people and good value. That should make a dandy scope for your big Weatherby.

I'd avoid Optics Planet, unless they assure you they absolutely, positively have it in stock, and give you an express tracking number the same day.

I tried OP recently. They had absolute best price on a Swaro Z5. So I bought it there, or tried to.

Literally a dozen or more calls later, I had no scope, no tracking number, and had finally gotten my money back and swore them off. You get a different person on the line every time.

Try Euro Optics. They actually know something about scopes. I called them, paid just a little more than OP's price for the phantom scope, with the non-existent tracking no., and lo and behold, it actually arrived a few days later.

OP's prices are great, they are not actual scammers, they will give you your money back, but it's not worth the hassle. Most of their order takers know next to nothing about scopes.

I think you'll like that scope on your W'by. I have the 5-20 Conquest on my .30-378 and love it.

Thanks to all that responded. Glass came in on Friday and I am very pleased so far. For those that have mag calibers what base and rings would be a good choice to go with on this Weatherby... Talley 2-piece rings, a rail and Warne or NF rings, 1 piece rail, 2 piece rail??? Thanks again
