A 6.5/280ai will have similar capacity as a 6.5saum. I personal would take the saum as the adg brass is very strong stuff. A 6.5wsm will hold another 5gr of powder, very similar to my 6.5 Sherman max. Idk why you call the prc just a magnum creed. Mine has 225k freebore and goes 3050 with 156eol. Only 60fps behind the Sherman max which holds 8gr more powder. I personally feel the 6.5 saum is the best balance for speed and capacity. I also had one those, but sold it. Vo was 3080 w/ 156eol from a 26" barrel with N565, could likely gone faster with N570.

My 6.5/06ai with 27" barrel ran 3120 with 147s the 280ai version may run a but more speed than that. The 6.5rpm holds 80grains of water so it would be a faster load in the same barrel/same pressure. With Rl33 or N565,568 or 570 itshould put you in the mid to high 3200's a 140 Berger would be in the mid 33's. Back it off to mild pressures and it should run the 156's in the same range as the 06/280ai with better barrel life. The RPM case may also allow you to use H50bmg. If that did work out you would see great speeds with temp stability as well. Someone with quickload should be able to see if it's viable
So I decided to get a 6.5-300wsm (or7mm wsm) and that way now I have a magnum bolt face to mess around with magnum calibers at a later date. Like PRC etc etc. I'm running a Rexem 130gr BTHP and am hoping to get at least 3400 out of it. I have 2209, reloader 19 and something 2213 SC on hand. I always get better velocity with 2209 than other slower powders, dunno how his will run though.
Hi team: Just an update, I went with the 6.5 WSM (Based off the 300/7mm case)
Should be a monster, I did this to finally get a magnum action, which means I can go to a PRC/ 264 WM or simliar later, however I think the 6.5 WSM will be the best 600 rounds of barrel life I've ever had.
I will be shooting Rexem 130GR BTHP's in it, should be mental fast and flat. Running a 26" swan barrel.

I had a 6.5 wsm for years and had no issues getting 135's to 3325 though i usually ran it at 3250. Only swapped since the wife wanted a short 6.5 mag so I did 2 6.5 saums

I built a 6.5/300WSM a few years ago the rifle is a very flat shooter and super accurat, average under a 1 inch group at 300 meters.
