I have this same chassis and it is freaking SWEEEEET! Can the mag still be used for a 338 or is the modification permanent? Any interest in a HK USP .40, full size?

I bought this from another member on here in March for $650. I wanted an XLR stock for my 30-06. I did not pay attention to it being a 338 mag thinking long action = long action which it true. The difference is the 338 is a longer box mag than the 300 win mag; shame on me for not doing my home work. So when I received it, I was very happy with the set up. I shot it single shot and it is SWEET! Then I read about moving the lips of the mag in so I made a tool and moved the rear of the mag lips to hold a 30-06. The only problem is that the box is too long so it doesn't feed perfectly. Thus I want to sell this one and buy a long action 300 WIN MAG which is shorter. I believe one could easily move the lips back out to the original spec without much hassle. However to be transparent and honest I wanted to let folks know I had modified the mag before anyone bought it.

Nothing else is changed on the stock and it is like new condition. So if you have 338 this perfect.

For trades I am more of a rifle guy and I am assigned in Maryland am under the hand gun restrictions of 1 OCT 13, so on the pistol I must pass.

Thanks for your interest I hope this clears it up.

I'd bet Kyle at XLR has a solution to your mag box issue if it doesn't sell quick enough for you. From what I hear, the have awesome customer service.
