Wyoming folks

I just found out that wyoming has a law that allows the transfer of tags for free to a veteran with a more than 50% disability rating. So, if any of you have any tags that you can't use for any reason, I'd sure love to get out to wyoming and hunt. I don't mean to sound like a beggar, but if you have a wyoming tag that you can't use, I'd sure like a shot at it. Thanks

Hell, if it's possible, i'll buy you a general tag. Of course, I have no idea if those are transferrable or not... This is the first i've ever heard of this.

I appreciate that sir. I wouldn't ask you to do that. I was just thinking that if someone drew a tag that they didn't have the time or the means to hunt, I could use it instead of them turning it back in or just letting it go unused. I appreciate your offer though, sincerely.

I could be wrong, but I believe that is for Wyoming disabled veterans only.

Check into it some more and find the specifics. I have a cow elk tag I'd let you have.

I just read the regulation section pertaining to this. I never heard of it before this thread. Makes me proud of my state even more. I did not draw any lottery tags this year, just a general over the counter tag. I will be following to see how this goes for you.

I couldn't locate that section, but that's a great deal for disabled vets, thanks to Wyoming. New Mexico has a similar option for exotics for vets thru a non- profit.
