I have a new McGowen small shank stainless steel 26" varmint profile 9 twist, chambered in 22 X 55 Swede,
you can shoot 40gr Vmax's at 4500FPS + or 90gr Bergers at 3700FPS + who ever buys this barrel I will share load data, and any other needs you might have to get going, off the shelf dies are used 22BR for the neck, and shoulder and 6.5X55 swede for the body, and Lapua brass is available, it is a great way to get into wildcatting without getting in over your head or breaking the bank, all work is being done by Apache gun works, The Barrel is $349.00 shipped, feel free to ask if you have any questions, the reason I am selling is, I had a 12 twist built since it is more my shooting style.

What ever a 22-243 does this does better it is also a great reference for starting loads, Lapua brass is also available for $75.00 per 100, there is a whole thread on this chamber here, feel free to ask any questions you might have.
My New Wildcat 22 Cal

Thanks Dean

I seem to be getting the same questions, so I will answer them here instead of PMing everyone separately, Here is a pic of it on the right beside a 223AI - 22-250 - 220 swift, it is made from a 6.5x55 swede, case capacity is 55gr, the case shoulder is not formed in this pic it is going to be a lot sharper and higher up, I will post a formed case latter, RL22 , RL25, H4831 and IMR7828 are the go to powders, there are a lot more out there than you realize Apache gun works has been doing them for years,

Dean

I also have a 12 twist that is 28" in this this caliber, it is the same specs as they other barrel except for those two differences, either way I have to sell one of the two.

Dean

One more time to the top, and if it does not sell hey I can think of worse things that can happen, than have two barrels of the same caliber in different twists, especially since I have gotten swapping barrels down to less than 10 min,
