This rifle was built with the idea of a midweight long range rifle that you can carry (9.75 lbs with scope)
. Here are the specs RH Remington 700 LONG action "C"prefix action of which the lugs are lapped. Smith checked the action and was darn good so really would not benefit much from being trued...many C prefix actions are really good. HART Stainless#4 Contour Stainless finished at 24" and bead blasted. B&C M-24 stock alum bedding block skim bedded in Marine tex. aftermarket detachable magazine and floorplate which requires no stock mod. Remington trigger set at 3#lbs and breaks like glass. RCBS FL sizer, RCBS Seater. Custom Newlon Neck die. Leupold 6-18 VX II with LRV reticle. Here the story behind it. I had the smith (retired military armorer from Quantico) Leave the shank on the barrel 2.5 in long so the barrel could be set back. had the barrel stamped 7wsm when we first built the gun as there was no 7wsm . a few months later the 7 wsm came out. the 7-300 wsm is supposed to be a bit better with the longer neck and about 1 or 2 grs less capacity. YOU CANNOT USE 7WSM in this chamber as the shoulder on the 7wsm is a a little further forward. I had the smith engrave 7-300 wsm below the original calber marks. I just last week got the stock back back from being custom camo painted in NAT gear colors with the addition of some od green into the camo ...it looks fantastic and blends well in a lot of enviroments. The gun holds 1 in the chamber and 2 in the magazine. There are 2 magazine that come with the gun. I built it on a long action to seat 160 and heavier bullets long ...BUT before I had him ream the throat for the long bullets I left as is and tried 120 ballistic tips at 3400...they shot so well Under 2" at 300 yard for 3 @ 3400 F/sec...I never touched it. Gun feeds rounds flawless. this gun is really nice...but my daughter wants a 243, 257 bob or 260...so may considertrades partial trades 1475.00 Shipped to your FFL. E mail pics for those serious.
