No, doesn't have to be wood - I can make a synthetic work if its for a heavy barrel. But I do need a BDL. Thanks tho!

No prob. Just curious, but did Rem ever even make a youth gun with a heavy barrel?? Never heard of it if.

Not that I am aware of - that's why I'm looking for wood, so I can open up the channel. There could be after market youth stock in synthetic I suppose.
