Hello all Ivhave been reading about couple different wsm calibers and rifles and have seen alot of people say they have feeding problems I am wondering what brand and model rifles in wsm are good rifles that do not have feeding problems.
Thanks

I could not disagree with the above more!
I personally have never had feeding issues with 3 different WSMs. They certainly are not dead! They have not stopped their record of excellent performance just because a few new cartridges hit the Market.
Pic your favorite rifle manufacturer and I will bet they chamber a WSM.
My favorite is the 270 WSM in a MRC
We have 2 Savages one in 270 WSM and the other in a 300 WSM that is a elk hammer.

@sedancowboy I totally agree with you. Even the 7mm RSAUM are still around too. I have some WSM's with my 270 WSM being my favorite but I just noticed Norma has factory discontinued the WSM line from their offerings. Luckily I have a enough for me and my sons but I bought a bunch as back up. Hopefully ADG will make them soon... that would be great.

I've got a 300 WSM built by Wayne York on a Montana 99 CRF action feeds like glass!

Suggest you folks get sales figures on reloading die and rifle sales. The tired old 300 WinMag outsells all the shorties.

RCBS puts out annually a list of previous years die sales - here's two years together.

I have edited this list from RCBS in 2009 and put the ranking of each caliber in the 2005 RCBS list in bold behind.

#1 .223 Remington 3
#2 .45 ACP 7
#3 9mm Luger 17
#4 .40 S&W 21
#5 .308 Winchester 4
#6 .30-06 2
#7 .357 Magnum/.38 Special (roll crimp) 12
#8 .243 Winchester 5
#9 .270 Winchester 8
#10 .22-250 Remington 6
#11 .44 Magnum/.44 Special 10
#12 .300 Winchester Magnum 9
#13 7mm Remington Magnum 13
#14 .45 Colt 14
#15 .223 Remington (Small Base)

the 300 does really well in bench/match-- I have a 7 on a win 70 SA and I have not had any feed issues at all--its numbers are very respectable--- I hope the 270 perks up a bit now that there is some attention on heavy/high bc bullets due to a few new 270's being introduced

I think the weak point of the wsm right now is the availability of brass -- you can still find it, but you have to look, the 270 & 300 have norma brass, the 7 is a bit more challenging to find brass but win/hornady/bertram can be had, or fire-form brass from the nroma 300 or 270.

I believe Norma brass, factory discontinued their 270 and 300 wsm brass. Most websites list that and cannot be back ordered.
its still on the norma web page-- i see the 25 packs are discontinued, the 100 packs still seem to be out there, just out f stock--if you look hard enough you can still find it though, or just buy loaded ammo and shoot or pull for brass--almost as cheap

The rebated rim of the WSM cases feed really good from Center feed DBMs. So any rifles using that style mag should be good. I had a Kimber Montana in 270 WSM and 300 WSM and they fed great, just not a long range rifle.

I absolutely love the wsm's. Out of all the brands, rem, sav, brwn, tikka, I never ran into feed issues. Ive had them all and am in the process of finishing a 25 wsm(wildcat). They are not dead at all, tons of stores stock 270 &300. Finding the 7 and 325 can sometimes be hard. Reload and no worries. The 7 and 270 wsm are laser flat, straight up deer slayers!
