Wsm rifle

The WSM are really well done cartridges. I have a 338 win mag and love it so no bias against the 300wm parent case. My 300wsm feeds great, is easy to load for, and finding ammo/brass isn't a problem.

I don't think anyone would have a viability issue purchasing a 300wsm

Suggest you folks get sales figures on reloading die and rifle sales. The tired old 300 WinMag outsells all the shorties.

RCBS puts out annually a list of previous years die sales - here's two years together.

Sounds like you should start another post about the success of the 300 Win Mag as this post is about feeding issues and which rifles work best for the 300WSM, a non belted magnum 300.

So, because people are scared of something they don't know, don't know if they'll be able to find ammo, don't know how to reload, don't actually know what a WSM is means they're dead and irrelevant? Look, I get it, they don't sell a lot, they don't sell a lot of a lot of different calibers, that doesn't meant we should all be shooting 223s and 308s. Where the hell is the fun in that?

I have a few Browning WSM/WSSMs and they feed and shoot great. Just make sure you know how to reload. I have the more uncommon ones and I love them. 243 WSSM, 7mm WSM, and 325 WSM, they're all a blast to shoot and fun to reload for. Good luck.

I've got a 300 WSM built by Wayne York on a Montana 99 CRF action feeds like glass!
I have the same build on one of Wayne's stocks, had one issue with the mag box, worked it out with Montana Rifle, is still my go to rifle when I need something tough and accurate, Wayne builds a great rifle.

I don't own one but the 7wsm would be the cream of the crop in my view balancing quality of projectile and the case capacity

The wsm line is still hotly debated, this thread as proof. If you want to run long heavy long range bullets, it's going to be more of a challenge in a factory short action rifle. If you are going to build a rifle, it's best to go long action for one of the wsm cartridges. Many people like to build a wsm or saum on a Tikka because the action is longer and it is center feed.

Aside from the 300 WSM, they are about dead. Aside from the short action myth. no advantage over the 300 Win Mag,
Can't speak to other WSM's, but my 300wsm browning stainless steel stalker is the most accurate out of the box rifle I've ever owned. It's my go to gun. Topped with Leupold Vx6 3x18 50mm, 165gr nosler BT @ 3200 5shot group 3/4 moa. last long range kill - WY mule deer 612 yds. I'll put it up against a 300 Winnie any day, and I love winnies.

Have owned 270WSM & 300WSM, only regret I have was selling them! No feeding issues whatsoever and very accurate with premium factory ammo.

Each to their own, pending what you are using these for (hunting, bench rest shooting, etc). These calibers are very capable and efficient. Factory ammo options are limited compared to other rounds in there caliber but there are enough options to get someone comfortable and shooting small groups.

Just my 2 cents...!
