Working the knee for Colorado

You may try rowing. It is a very good low impact exercise that works many muscles in the body in one motion. It especially gives a good full range workout of the legs, as well as, some good cardio. I've been doing it for a while. Just a thought

Josh,

Thanks for the suggestion, been thinking about this too. One thing I know I need to work on in addition to the knee/ankle is core strength. How does rowing do for the core?

Funny you mention this, since I posted this a year ago, that's what I did. My chiro did great work and has a PT practice as well. Got me sorted for elk season. I'll always have challenges there, but it made a real difference. Now if I could only get Humana to stop trying to hold up their end!

Go to your family doctor and get them to refer you for a mri, then a specialist. There are a number of options that can be done at a orthopedic clinic He can determine what is the appropiate treatment can be. Going to someone that is not a doctor could make your problem worse. I have had 3 knee surgeries on the same knee over a 2 yr period. One scoped knee with robotics and did not see the improvement as expected. Total knee replacement and it failed 2 weeks after surgery. Had to get another knee replacement for the failed one. This happened on dec 12, 2018, and another replacement on dec the 30th. Doing well now and getting around with out a cane or walker. I work out in a gym now under supervision 4 days a week. Hopefully an knee injection can cure you for the time being, but get on an exercise program. At 64 my mountain climbing is probably over, but i am optomistic. Good luck whichever way you go.
