Winchester Stealth II ??

Yeah...

They descended from the Heavy Barreled Varmint (HBV).

The barrel was changed from stainless to CroMoly, the bolt was no longer polished and jewelled, and there were other cuts in quality to cut production costs.

The stock is outstanding.

They ARE good rifles. The HBV would have cost over $1,000 towards the end, if it was not changed.

I had a Stealth I in 22-250 for a few years. It shot extremely well with 50gr bullets. Just as well as any custom rigs I have. I really like the form factor and look. Only thing I had to do was skim bed the action. They have an aluminum block, but I had a hard time with consistency on mine. Skim bedding it made a huge difference in my case. I wouldn't hesitate getting one if you're really interested.
