winchester model 88, 284 winchester loads

Just curious what the 28 nosler talk has to do with your Winchester model 88 chambered in 284 win.
nothing, cliffhunter brought up 28, i replied. but many of tbese posts have zero to do with my original question about loads for the 88 in 284 winchester. so go ahead, im waiting for your reloading comments about reloading for the 88.

I see, confusing. I just loaded and developed the 195 EOL burger in a standard 7 mm mag. 2750 ft./s bullet touching bullet at 100 m can't bitch about that. I used 64 grains of IMR 8133 pretty much a direct replacement for retumbo Also I have a 26 inch barrel.Hope that helps you.

Just start at 64 gr . Work your up until you see signs of pressure. You'll be fine.

139 Hornady projectiles to see how it does, and, it may prefer flat bases. If ya can get under 1 inches or so at 100 then maybe keep it as a curio fun piece of history.

I agree that the Hornady flat base Interlocks are the easiest bullets to tune. <400 yards bc doesn't matter that much, unless you live in WY / open country with consistent 25 mph wind. The 308 cal 150 gr Interlock #3031 is sub moa in 3 different rifles and 2 different calibers 30-06 and 300 wm, I did the 300 wm just to see and the 1st test groups I found a .444 with RL16 . The factory Hornady Custom 162 gr boattail Interlocks shoot .75 in a factory barreled action 7remmag I have. Hornady is the only bullet manufacturer I've ever gotten the wrong caliber in a box of bullets, twice. Got a 30 cal in a box 7mm 162 grs. And a 7mm box had a 150 gr 30 cal in it . I only buy Barnes and Berger's these days. But nothing wrong with the Interlocks at closer ranges if you can tolerate the bc.
