Excellent condition Model 63 22lr. Only one nick I can find on the stocks and it's right above the insertion window for the shells. I'd conservatively say the rifle has 95% or more of the original blueing. The action is smooth and precise. The bore is as bright and shiny as new with crisp and clear rifling. It is a takedown model and I took it down for cleaning and the internal pics showing how clean the internals are. Functions perfect and is ready to go. I am listing places where I ship, so as I removed the scope in order to take it down, and since shipping will be taken down, I havnt re-mounted the scope, but that can be done in minutes or less. Serial numbers puts it at made in 1937. These were made from 1933 to 1958.

The scope is a classic weaver maybe from the sixties??? I have no clue. It is clear and works great for a 22lr.
$850.

Can't load more than one pic, but can email many more.

It would have been done after the fact. The early ones weren't setup for scopes and the later ones had grooves. The people without got jealous and took them to gunsmiths way back in the day and got them setup for scopes by having them d and t'd.

Upside is you have great scope options, downside is this would be a $1000+ rifle if the owner would have been content just using iron sights. Back In The 40's and 50's people treated working guns the same way we replace grips, triggers and guide rods in pistols and revolvers today. The heck with our grandkids and great grandkids wanting S&W revolvers with the original "junk" hogues, LOL.

I realized my price is high after talking with some other collectors at the gun show today. Will sell for 750 now.
