Nice shooting a hawken or Kentucky long is in my future at some point.

They're fun for sure. I've got a .45 Kentucky flint and an old Thompsons .50cal Hawken. Had a lot of fun shooting them. I should take them off the wall, dust them up and make them smoke again. Been almost 15 years since I've shot them.

I'm beginning to fall down that rabbit hole- learning to cast. I have a Marlin .45-70 and a .44mag lever. Maybe I'll tap at you for some pointers.
