I just purchased a Nightforce nxs 3.5-15x50 LV.5 reticle, I usually shoot a NF Benchrest with a MOAR but it occurred to me with a bdc what good is the turret assuming the reticle reflects your cartridge ballistics?
Why have turrets and LV5 Nightforce reticle

Never hurts to have options.
BDC reticles are good of course aiming at realatively close distances (600 yards or so). They really fall apart after those distances unless you are really lucky with ballistics and conditions. A lot of times further distances are included because accuracy isnt always a necessity (Military settings- think suppressing fire a ways out).
