I use a McMillan Freeland rail. I think it has 5 mounting screws. I have 2 studs, one for the bi-pod and the other for my sling. I love it and would not go back to a rail-less stock. It sticks down from the bottm of the stock just enough to act as a tounge and groove system when I mount my harris bi-pods to it. It is extreemly solid.
