I am in the process of gathering up the needed parts for a lightweight 358 Winchester build. The one thing I want is a carbon fiber barrel and I can only find one manufacturer, X-Caliber. I know nothing about them, their process or their quality.

Anyone have any experience with them? Suggestions for a different manufacturer?

FTR, I am only interested in carbon fiber.

Thanks in advance, Darryle

Bartlein builds carbon barrels and International Barrels out of Canada does as well.

As far as X-Caliber goes, I own three of their barrels. They are all tack drivers if I do part.
My cheapest setup is my best shooter. It’s got a factory Tupperware stock on it, reamed out with a dremel tool for the light medium bill barrel.
I epoxied the front of the stick and foamed the rear. And it’s a Savage Stevens. 😎

I haven't used x-calibers carbon barrels. I do have one of their stainless barrels. The skinniest profile I could order. 24" long in a 1-8 twist .22-250. It shoots one ragged hole at 100 yards in a lightweight rifle setup, so no complaints there!
