Who makes a .264 7 twist 28” carbon barrel blank?

Sounds like he just wants to be able to charge you extra for crowning and threading since it's already done by X-Caliber.
No, he jut wants control of every aspect of the threading, chambering, crowning, etc that way if it doesn't shoot, he knows it's on him.

This is right of XCaliber's website/order form.

I understand where your smith is coming from, my main smith would GREATLY prefer not work with a barrel anyone else has machined on. It's not a money thing, its a dialing barrels in absolutely perfect thing. He has turned down work from guys who had pre-threaded OMR barrels as the muzzle threads had horrible run-out on his first experience with their barrels.

So I talked to Mike @ HCA and he can fix me up. 7 month wait.

Im also going to reach out to Pederson Precision tomorrow. They use Mullerworks and Rock Creek blanks. I have a couple of Rock Creek barrels and they flat hammer.

The pederson barrels are good, rock and muller. Between myself and a friend I've done load development on 5. They shoot!
