Who is shooting the 6.5 Grendel in a specialty pistol?

Ernie, Only had 20" barrels. One for AR and one for Howa Mini Action. Best shooting powder was IMR 8208 in 123 ELD M. CFE shot ok but it had a tendency to build pressure rather quickly. If you use it especially in hot weather be careful of pressure spikes. H335 shot really well with 85-90 gr bullets. This was out of 20" rifle barrels though.

Both Grendels really like 120eld but for some reason struggle with the 123s? 8208xbr and AR COMP work better than anything else with ARCOMP getting the best velocity out of the 24 and 20 inch barrels.
That old Stryker might get resurrected with a Grendel bolt and barrel swap threaded for a can of coarse.
Have you tryed running a suppressor on the pistols yet?

2511 fps Black Hole Weaponry 3P barrel 20" length. Hornady brass CCI 450 IMR 8208 123 gr Hornady ELD M. This barrel seems to shoot faster than my other barrels. Don't know if it's the 3P rifling or not but it sure does shoot good. I have heard good things about the AR Comp and when I run up on some will try it. Also, the 120 gr Sierra SPT bullet shot pretty good too with 8208. The 123 SST's were ok but not anything to brag about.

Only load a AR 15, 24 in ,but the best I have done is 120 Barnes, cci 450, with cfe 223, with 32 gr and clocks 2850, and 3/8 groups at 100 yd. Also 100 gr Barnes with 35 gr of cfe 223, ( drop tube) = 3000 fps. Yes they are worm loads, but primers still look good!

Commenting to follow. 6.5 Grendel has been a barrel I've considered for my Encore. Though I already have a .260 Rem barrel for it. The Grendel is very efficient when it comes to producing velocity with less powder. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Ernie: I'm a BR guy,but a good friend shoots a PPC ( very similar) and has great results with H322. I would try CFE223 as well. Works in my 15" BR .

I've had the best accucacy with 8208, Benchmark, and H335 in an 18" 6.5 Grendel. BL-C2 gave good velocities but never shot as well for me. Ramshot TAC works well with lighter bullets.
