I've never hunted whitetail on public land before... So I don't know! On my family farm back home, which is only 160 acres and not big enough to really keep the ones we let go from getting shot elsewhere, we would pass and hope we see it again next year.

On public land... I'd probably shoot it. I think?

Not even close..if you know the reputations of the powder River area...that buck may only be 2.5 years old...let him grow up....kill the genetics off with shooting younger bucks and older bucks die of blue tongue and old age....gotta keep the genetics...and young breeders....i bet your saying 'ol trophy hunter'......nope....but a 10" tall and maybe 12" wide buck with thin antlers is far from mature....i like ol' bruisers..broken antlers or not...give'm time.....
