Like the title says...
Im getting ready to start a load for a new 300 win mag with a 24 inch barrel and will be pushing 200 accubonds. I will have Nosler brass, but what powder would you start off trying for the barrel length and bullet weight? I am thinking H4831-SC or H1000?
I know reloader-22 is great, but I live in North Dakota and I have heard the reloader-22 is very temp sensitive. Thanks

Try Retumbo. Better velocity then H1000 in a 24" barrel, very temperature stable, with low ES. I get .25MOA in my 24" Remington 700 Milspec, 2900FPS with 79gr, 215M primers, and Norma brass.

I use h4831sc great velocity, es is 5. I'm getting about 2850 in a 24" barrel. If you want more velocity h1000 may be a better choice.

Had luck getting good velocity with IMR 7828. Got 3050fps in a 26" barrel with 200s so you will be around 2975-3000fps

I'm running the 208gn ELD-M ahead of 77.0gn of RL26 w/CCI BR2's in Hornady brass. Velocity averages 3092fps, accuracy running .52", ES; 13, SD; 7.23. Work your way to this. JohnnyK.

I am new to the .300 WM. I have ran plenty of powders on quick load. If I was looking at Hodgdon powders it would be these. No particular order H4831sc, H1000, Retumbo.

I burn H1000, pushes 215 bergers over 3,000 fps no pressure but my Norma brass is only good for 6-7 firings, loose primer pockets.
we have a winner... (if you don't want to use rl or imr that is)
I have had good luck with h1000and 200's in my 300win's over the years. Lately I use a 165 grain hdy bullet pushed by rl22 in my 300win and shoot 225 hdy's and rl33 in a pair of 300rum rifles...

All are great choices. I run H-1000 through a 25" Broughton for both 180 and 200 grain Accubonds and have developed some outstanding loads. Good luck!
