I have an opportunity to get a great discount on a Leupold scope.
I was initially looking at getting either a VX-3 3.5x10x40 or 4.5x14x40 scope for my hunting rifle. But since I have a discount, I'm wondering if it is worth it to get one of the following instead. (these are still in my price range with discount)
VX3 4.5x10x40 30mm side focus CDS
VX6 2x12x42 30mm CDS
VX6 3x18x44 30mm Side focus CDS
I try to spend as much as I can afford on the best optics, but I'm having a hard time finding reviews on whether the 30 mm tube or the VX6 is that much better to warrant the increased expense.
I'm also comparing it to a Zeiss conquest that I already have on another rifle. I like the Conquest, but if I can get a Leupold that is better for less than the Zeiss, I'll jump on it. I still want to upgrade my bino's so any money I save here will go toward a better set of bino's.
