Which Hammer bullets

John K, RL-23 is the only powder I have tried in my Boy's 280AI. We settled on 59.5 grns but ran it up to 60.5 with no pressure signs. 59, 59.5 shot very low es and sd and stupid accurate from a 23 inch Bartlein 1-8.7 twist barrel. 3.365 coal, velocity at 3133 avg. Hope this helps, Jason

I load 180 gr Hammer Hunter for 300 win mag,166 gr Hammer Hunter for 300 win mag and 30-06,152 gr H H for 308.
The Hammer Hunter's bring the 223 to life with the 52 gr H H.
I also load the 97 Absolute Hunter in 6.5 Grendel.Love them rascals!Always in stock.
Care to share what powder and velocity you are getting with the 97 AH in 6.5 Grendel? I have 100 of those on the way.

Reloader 10.
29.5 made 2967 fps average and I have some 30.0 gr loaded and expect 3000 or very close.
I'll report soon.
Had chrony problems.Spider made a home in the Chrony and I had to disassemble to clean house so the last time I shot 30 gr of Re 10 I did not have velocities but I expect to shoot soon and will report.
29.5 made a very nice group and when I shot a few 30.0 gr the groups widened out but the wind was gusting to 35mph so will try again soon.

Edit to add:My Chrony was not working properly so that velocity may get changed. Will shoot soon and verify veloacity

snox801 and a few others have spent a lot of time with different powders and found for the 97 gr Re 10 worked best.
Here is an older thread on just that:

Thank you. I have a couple pounds of Re 10. If I can safely get to 2950 with accuracy I will be a happy camper.

Your thinking right.I have the 30.0 gr Re 10 to try for velocity but I plan on coming down also as with 30.0 gr the brass takes a dive big time.
I have Alexander Arms brass and I'll be lucky to get 3 or hopefully 4 loads out of them.
Have some Lapua brass that I have not used yet.
Let me know how it works out for you.

I will let you know. It will be a little while before I can get around to it. Please let me know if you do any more testing. I am going to do a ladder from 26.8 to 29.5 in .3 grain increments. Hopefully my accuracy node is near the top.
