Which Hammer bullets

Okay guys I'm gonna try Hammer bullets. Need your help picking as there are so many.
Here's what I have:
300 Win Mag 1/10 H1000 elk, blk bear
280AI 1/9 RL 23,26, 4831,4831SC, deer
308 1/10 Varget, H4350, 3031, deer, black bear

I've had really good luck with 152 grain hammer hunters and 152 shock hammers in my 308 win and 300 wsm

I load 180 gr Hammer Hunter for 300 win mag,166 gr Hammer Hunter for 300 win mag and 30-06,152 gr H H for 308.
The Hammer Hunter's bring the 223 to life with the 52 gr H H.
I also load the 97 Absolute Hunter in 6.5 Grendel.Love them rascals!Always in stock.

300 win: 181 Gr if your rifle has the twist for it.
280AI: 143 Gr

308: 124 Gr

They also make a 180 Gr hammer hunter for the 30 cal that will work in a 1:10

Look at twist rate to eliminate this or that bullet. Use load data to decide on range, velocity. Know that Absolute Hammers are their own thing and require some educated guesswork on your part.

143 is money in the 280AI! I also use that bullet in my 7mm Rem mag, great terminal performance in both. I have a friend that decided on the 177 for his 300 win and is very happy with that. I would run some numbers in you ballistic calcs for the 300 win and see what you like at the ranges you intend to use and decide from there. cheers, Jason

Shooting the 181's in my 300 Win. but I have a 1 in 9 twist barrel. They are shooting really nice groups with 79 grains of h1000 and 3.600 OAL. Since you have the 1 in 10 twist rate the 180 Grain HH should work just fine, I think they made this bullet specifically for the 1 in 10 twist rate. Good Luck

With topics such as this, opinions flow like water because of the acceptance of the Hammer bullets for hunting. The variety is excellent and user experience has usually been very favorable. The breadth of selection is big enough to boggle your brain when all are considered.

I suggest, in all sincerity, call Steve and ask for some guidance in order to narrow the selection down to a manageable set of choices.
