Which Cartridge for each caliber?

The results are very interesting with some surprises (at least for me). I was surprised with the number of people who picked a 270 wsm. I personally love the cartridge and as far as hunting it is one of my favorites. It seems to hit harder than it should. I did not expect that many people to pick it.

You are way too practical for this forum!

7mm RM to fill the gap!
It appears that you are correct in the assumption that I am way too practical. Seems to be an issue here where everyone seems to be out in some form of fantasy land. I try to look at things realistically. So be it...that may be the old blonde coming out.

Perfectly practical.

Kinda along the same lines why a bunch of my list can be formed from the same brass. Whittled down, there isn't much hunting in North America that can't be accomplished with these three: 25-06, 30-06, 35 Whelen. It took a few decades, but the practical side of my brain finally took over….
