Which caliber for a 22in barreled SA Rem 700, ??????

Wyatt's box .284 Win., long throated so as to seat at least a 160 grain bullet.I have a 7-08 barreled action I am considering. Use a SAUM magazine box and probably have to alter the feed rails to accomadate the fatter case. Or if you don't mind getting a new bolt, 7SAUM, or 7WSM.

I have 2 7-08 remingtons, one a model 7 and the other a titanium 700. I suggest a 7-08 or better yet, a 7-08 improved. I just purchased a 280 AI and after taking an elk with it this past year, i am very impressed with the improved case design. Velocity improvement over the parent case is impressive and case life is very good. With the right bullets, a 7-08 AI could be a 500+ yd elk killer.

I have a Baney Box installed in my Rem SA and the 6.5x 284N is just a tad too long. 260AI would be the one if going 6.5.

Would you please let me know where you are getting the .284 Winchester brass??

Going to be rebarreling my son's short action Remington 700. It is currently a .243 with a 16in barrel and Lota Krux stock. I am going to go with a 21 or 22" CF barrel and I am having a hard time coming to a decision on which caliber I should chamber it to. 284 win, 6.5x284, 7mm-08 or or something else?
I will be adding that wyatt's mag extenion if .284 or 6.5x284 so can load out to 2.95 oal

6.5x284 reamer on hand, as well as brass and bullets from my other 6.5 rifles; Swede and Creed.

help me out, let's hear it!

If I go 6.5 I will be shooting the 127LRX or 120etip and if I go 7 mm I want to shoot the 140E tip or 145LRX. Either 6.5 or 7 I want to be around 3000' fps
