Can anyone tell me why it is so hard to find the Barnes MRX in .308 these days? I remember when it was still easier to find the Federal Premium ammunition loaded with this round at a reasonable cost. Now it seems difficult to just find the bullet for reloading.
the mrx has been replaced with the new lrx bullet seams to work better at long range atleast for me gun)
I saw that round online for sale. Midwayusa does not show what the BC is on it. I assume its 507-511?
Not all of them, confusing I know. The 6.5 127grn, 7mm 145 & 168grn, 30 cal 175 & 200grn are all LRX there is also a 338 but I don't remember the weight. The LRX offers a different Ogive & boat tail profile than the TTSX. Barnes instituted those changes to provide a boost in BC. t
That was what I was thinking, I just couldn't remember if the 265 was a LRX or TTSX.... thanks Mike. t
