What's your next Rifle build?

What caliber?

Are you using a specific action/barrel/stock/trigger?

Are you building a rifle by simply putting a good scope and rings on a factory rifle?

What's your intended purpose?

Here's mine (I'm stuck between a few)

1. Ultra light wieght 6.5-284 (defiance action/swaro Z5 scope)
2. Budget 22-250(savage action/shillen barrel/boydes stock)
3. 223 trainer (tikka or Savage with sig tango4 scope)
4. Precision 22LR
5. Built up ELR rifle in either 338LM or 338NM.

I don't know....I should start a "build my rifle" thread. I have a Bighorn long action inbound with a std bolt face. I think I want a 6.5-06AI, 6.5x280AI, 6.5 Sherman or a 6.5x284.....might consider 300 PRC, 30 Sherman Magnum....

looking to do a slightly heavy 26-28" barrel, #4 or #5 contour barrel with brake

Some kind of stock with the right cheek height and lop. Thinking KRG Bravo, maybe Grayboe or McMillan.

im 3-5 firearms behind in load development, so I can wait....besides, I don't want component availability to tell me what to buy.

I'm contemplating putting together a light weight backpack rifle consisting of the following,

American Rifle Company Archimedes SA
MDT HNT26 chassis
18" BSF CF barrel in 6.5 Creedmoor
TriggerTech Special
ARC M10 Rings

That puts the base rifle at around 6 pounds and should be just over 8 with a scope and suppressor. Still undecided on the scope, since the chassis is several months out I'm debating going with a Maven or waiting to see if Revic comes out with a lighter scope.

22 creedmoor on a savage 12fv in a chassis. 7 twist. It's going to eastern Washington to a buddy for coyote management. Everything's ready except trying to find a crimp die for hammer bullets but if the 90 gr vld's hold together and shoot good, well, so be it.

2. 6XC on trued Remington 700 SA with a 26" proof competition contour 7.5 twist in a MPA competition chassis
