Got the following this morning from a fellow shooter. He saw it on the internet.
I don't know if this is an exact quote of if paraphrased but the message is undeniably clear. I've quoted it exactly as I received it.

It's amazing how the NRA is vilified. The 3 branches of government have all been elected and/or appointed to protect the Constitution of the United States. I'm certain that every official was required to swear to it prior to holding their respective offices. So why is it that I need to rely on a lobby group to ensure that my 2nd Amendment rights are protected?
Don't know about you but I'm going to write all of my elected officials (again) and pose this very question to all. I will certainly report any noteworthy response'.
