What to build?

I've gat a 1974 Remington 700 in 25/06 - it's a great shooter. Thinking about building something new with the action. If it was you, what would you build? Thinking about a 6.5X284

Really depends what you want to do. Straight 284 winchester or a 280AI would be really good options for most all around hunting and shooting

I like tikkas for 284 variants and rem long action for 280ais. Just me. Keep us updated. New builds are great

I'll second Creedmoor Shooter on a straight 284 win. It really shines in a long action. I have one in an F-open comp rifle and love it. Actually going to be my next custom hunting rifle. Bullet choice is great and mild recoil and hard to beat 7's ballistics. Mine will be throated to run the 180 Berger's. 6.5X284 is also a great round but I'd stick with the 284.
