What recourse do I have????

I sent a guy a certified check a couple of weeks ago for 2 McM stocks. While communication was not great at any point, it was adequate. After having not heard from him and him not shipping, I called him and he answered his phone and assured me that he was going to ship on Thursday and that he would have a tracking # to me. Here it is Sunday night and he will not answer email or phone.

I hope I am jumping the gun, but if tries to take my money and not ship the stocks, what can I do? I am in MS and he is in CO.

Do you have proof of delivery or proof the certified check was cashed?

If so, that is your first step.

Second step, contact is local police or sheriff's department.

I always use something I can prove in court when I send money. Did you find the stock through this site? If not which one? If the deal goes bad contact site admin as well so he does not rip anyone else off, if thats the case.
