What’s your favorite caliber for deer?

Georgia brush - H&R 45-70 (Hornady 325 FTX & 50gr IMR 3031)
if they just cut the pines (like this year) - .270 win (150 Nosler ballistic tips) or 25-06 (120 Sierra's)

I have used my 270 Win since the middle 70's for my first deer of each year. Then I switch over to a pistol using the 7-30 Waters cartridge. Deer only take a few steps with either one.

I find these post entertaining because so many cannot pick their favorite "not plural" caliber/ cartridge.
So it seems you are saying 264 Win Mag is your choice?
I have an assortment of deer rifles and have killed more with my 257 (25 caliber) Roberts than all others combined and it is my favorite!
264 win mag is my favorite and what I bring hunting most of the time.
thought about trying a 257 Roberts. My next purchase

Build ya a custom you won't be disappointed. Been shooting a Bob since I was 14 and slayed many a deer with it. All bang flop. 1:9 twist for standard projectiles or get an AI version and 1:7 for the 131 Aces!

OP if you couldn't tell Im a 25 cal guy but my 260 is a close second.

Used most= Pre-model .270 130 gr.
First= 7-08 130 gr.
Last= 7 Rem Mag 168 ABLR
Next= 300 RUM (Long range crop damage)
Plenty of archery in between.
No favorites, all have meaning.

Funny coincidence,
my latest build is a 264 Win Mag. and last two deer taken were with it and a 7mm-08 Rem.
Been carrying my 257 this season, they're just sweet shooters!
