.001 neck tension each time with Redding competition die set.. Dies are clean I checked them??

I only use Redding competition dies.. It is the same as all the others...?? put back together the same as the others..
All loads are 34 grains Benchmark... plenty of case room you can hear it when shaken.. I am at a loss.. I have never had a seating die do that.
I tried seating a bullet in new brass to see if I had too much neck tension but it still left a ring around the neck just not as much..

Could it be your seating die screwed in too deep and you are crimping? I can't tell from the photo but I've seen it happen before.

You should patten that process for a new type bullet.
Has to be your die, do you have a neck bushing die ?? could be the incorrect bushing too small and not letting the bullet seat.

I screw the seating dies down til they barely contact shell holder then back quarter turn.

The bushing is the same ole 252 I have always used. I might send this off to Redding.

Take the die apart, make sure you have put things in the correct orientation.
Make sure the spring is under the micrometer dial, if it isn't, this may be your issue.
I have never seen a comp die do this unless the stem was of the wrong shape for the bullet.
