Most guys sort brass to within half grain lots.
I know a member of the Benchrest Hall Of Fame who thinks it is a waste of time and he does not do it so I don't either. We have discussed this at length and when you weigh brass the weight really doesn't matter unless you know specifically if the weight difference makes a volume change. The difference in weight could be in an area of the case that will not affect performance in the least so by sorting brass by its weight may or may not choose well. If you think it helps then do it--the mental part of this sport is a componet that should not be taken lightly. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif
Case weight shouldn't vary more than 1% for a batch of cases. You'll get a greater difference in accuracy by shooting a rifle whose bolt face hasn't been squared with the chamber (never the bolt) axis. Most primers will show a bigger difference than a 1% case weight spread. Case neck tension can also cause a difference.
In other words, get concerned about case weight uniformity after you can keep all of your shots inside 10 inches at 1000 yards.
