I got this action last month and have decided it is not the direction I wanted to go. It was chambered in 300 weatherby. It is the action only no bottom meatal or mag box. The trigger group is missing the bolt stop. I was not to worried about that when I bought the action because I had planed to replace the trigger anyhow. New Timney trigger from brownells will run 108.00. If the pics dont work e-mail me. Asking 250.

Just for the record the Howa/Vanguard actions are very strong and everybody as capible as the Rem 700 for a fine rugged rifle build , the recievers are actualy more stiff , the bolt has a M-16 style extractor in it and the bolt and handel are one piece. All these add up to an action with alot of extras that you pay ALOT more for on the more popular action

Sure , with photobucket which is what I like to use also , under each pic in your album their are three lines top to bottom , the bottom one is the "IMG code" put the arrom on that line and LEFT click your mouse , thst will highlight it and a small box will pop up for a second that says "copied" then when your ready to post the pic in your ad you RIGHT click you mouse , select the option "paste" and left click on that , its gonna look like a link being posted but when the ad is placed you should have a pic.

Now about this action , CDI makes a bottom metal that uses AICS mags for a detachable mag setup and Timminey makes a fine trigger.

What direction were you planning to go

FYI, the bolt stop isn't part of the trigger group on the Vanguard. The bolt stop, screw and spring will have to come from Weatherby.

Aftermarket Vanguard triggers don't come with the bolt stop. The design is different than, say, a Remy 700. The Vanguard stop attaches to the threaded hole on the left side of the action. The bolt stop spring fits in a hole on the bottom of the same side of the action. The parts are in no way related the trigger, factory or aftermarket.
