I was thinking it would be fun and interesting to see what some of the different programs would do out there so here's it is.

Sight-in data is a Berger 140gr bullet in .277 with a G7 BC of .248 and a G1 of 487 with a velocity of 3300fps. The scope is 2.2 in above bore and adjusts in 1/4 MOA zero's at 100yrds.

Environmental data is Baro at 29.96 in/hg, 27 degrees F with 81% humidity at a elevation of 5612.

Wind 5mph at 90degrees left to right, Azimuth is 334 degrees at 45 degrees Lat. Bullet is 1.245 long, right hand 1-11 twist.

I would like to get drops for 750, 1015, 1600, and 2200 yrds. Make sure to say what program your using and what you think. I can shoot at all the ranges but 2200 on the range. I will shoot them when I get something loaded up worthy of the longer ranges. Through some spin drift and Coriolis in also for fun.
This is for fun and something to think about. Lets have fun :D:D:D

Here is what I get using Exbal and the G1 BC if I entered all the data right.

This is using a 100 yard zero.

750 yards 12.25 MOA 2.00 MOA for wind

1016 yards 20.50 MOA 2.75 MOA for wind

1600 yards 49.00 MOA 5.50 MOA for wind

2200 yards 103.00 MOA 8.75 MOA for wind

Mudbug

Exbal with G1:

750 yds: 12.0 MOA with 1.75 wind.
1015 yds: 20.0 MOA with 2.75 wind.
1600 yds: 47.5 MOA with 5.25 wind.
2200 yds: 98.25 MOA with 8.5 wind.

Still working on the others. Mind boggling, but what a great idea.

Ballistic FTE:

750 yds: 12.26 MOA with 1.99 wind.
1015 yds: 20.50 MOA with 2.92 wind.
1600 yds: 50.17 MOA with 5.68 wind.
2200 yds: 105.39 MOA with 8.99 wind.

Just got this program yesterday and may need to tweak something??

Gonna need the bullet's overall length and a twist rate as well as direction of twist for accurate spin drift numbers. ;) Also, you say the wind is 5 MPH at 90 degrees. Which 90 degrees? Wind from 3:00 or from 9:00? This WILL make a difference with its relation to spin drift and the coriolus effect. At least for my personal calculators.

Sorry about that, I figured someone would find something they needed.

Wind is 90 degrees from the left to right, 9:00. Bullet is 1.245 OAL and the twist rate is 1-11 to the right.

Using the G7 BC and MOBALL.
Solution includes coriolis and spin drift.

Code:
Range  	Elevation	Windage
	correction	correction
----------------------------------
750 	UP 12.1 MOA	Left 2.4 MOA
1015	UP 20.4 MOA	Left 3.6 MOA
1600	UP 49.4 MOA	Left 7.2 MOA
2200	UP 107.1 MOA	Left 12.3 MOA

Using a modified Pejsa spreadsheet, which has no accounting for Rh, coriolis, or spindrift:
750 = 12.3 -2.0
1015= 20.7 -2.9
1600= 49.3 -5.5
2200= 107.7 -9.6

Reloader's Archive accounting for ALL variables listed:

750 = 12.25 MOA drop/2.25 MOA windage

1015 = 20.5 MOA drop/3.25 MOA windage

1600 = 49.0 MOA drop/6.5 MOA windage

2200 = 108.0 MOA drop/12.25 MOA windage

It is notable that at 1600 yards the velocity is nearing the transonic zone and at 2200 yards it is way under at 755 FPS.

Our "regular cell phone solution", I can't give you the exact numbers because the software automatically rounds to nearest 1/4 MOA click:

Code:
Range  	Elevation	Windage
	correction	correction
----------------------------------
750 	UP 12.0 MOA	Left 2.25 MOA
1015	UP 20.25 MOA	Left 3.5 MOA
1600	UP 49.0 MOA	Left 7.25 MOA
2200	UP 111.75 MOA	Left 14.25 MOA

( using Bryan's table format as a template for clarity )

Includes Coriolis and Spin Drift
using G7

Using Loadbase 3.0 Mobile this is what I came up with. Using spin drift and coriolis in the G7.

750 yrds 12.1 up and 2.5 left 2136.5 fps

1015 yrds 20.3 up and 3.6 left 1785.6 fps

1600 yrds 49.4 up and 7.2 left 1140.4 fps

2200 yrds 108.0 up and 12.0 left 876.1 fps

Bryan, we're pretty close for the first 1600 yards. We have 0.9 moa = 20.7" difference at 2200 yards. :)

My goodness, you and I are real close!!! 4.6" difference on windage at 2200
yards. Not bad. :D
