Hello Fred,

I inherited a Savage 99' .250-3000. I took it out today to look up the age and ran across your post.

The serial number is 168962, built in 1915.

I think the condition meets your criteria. Minor scratches and dings on stock and forearm. Minor scratches on the receiver. a couple minor/small spots on the barrell where the bluing has worn thin.

this was my grandfather's gun and I haven't been looking to sell it, but might consider doing so.

I see you've already made a purchase. Congrats on that. I hope she's a beauty.

I found some listings of Savage 99's in .250-3000. I believe mine is superior to all that I saw.

If you decide you're back on the market in the future, let me know. I'm not planning to list it at this time, so it'll still be here. I'll also send photos if you're interested.
