Vortex viper pst gen II 3-15x44(600$) Vs Bushnell forge 2.5-15x50(425$)

My buddy is still looking for a scope and he has settled on either the vortex viper pst Gen ii 3-15x44 for 599$ or the Bushnell Forge 2.5-15x50 for 425$. From what I can tell vortex wins in Customer Service and it is illuminated while the Bushnell is almost a full 200$ cheaper. No illumination though and their customer service is hit or miss. What is your thoughts on this?

PST Gen 2's are awesome. Spend the $599 and dont think twice.

I own two PST Gen 2s in 3-15x44mm and am very happy with them. One is on a Kimber Mountain Ascent in .308 Win and the other is on a Springfield Saint Victor in .308.

Gen2 pst 3-15 has a ridiculous wide FOV, arguably it's best feature!
