SOLD!

Price Drop: $500.00 for scope, $525.00 including rings. Shipping/Insurance included of course :)

Vortex Viper HS-T 6-24x50mm (30mm tube) It has the VR-1 MOA reticle. Comes with all original paper work and box with packing.

It is MINT, truly Like New. Bought it right b4 Covid kicked off, so it's been mounted for roughly 18 months. All manuals and box included. Shot less than 2 boxes of ammo thru a Rem 700 SPS Varmint .308 with it mounted. Excellent scope, everything works perfectly as expected.

For the scope(sunshade cost an extra $40), I paid $799 after tax. Burris Xtreme Tactical 30mm rings were another $70.

PayPal only, Thanks for looking! 20210714_174120.jpg

Just curious. I'm having a little trouble clearly seeing the cross hairs on my Vortex Diamondback Tactical 6 x 24 - 50, esp at dawn and dusk. Are the cross hairs on this scope pretty easy to see at those times? I'm happy with my scope, just need a more visible crosshair.
Thanks for any info you can share.

I had a Diamondback, didn't care for it much. I like this Viper much more. With that said, I will try the reticle at dusk tomorrow. But, our eyes are all different. What looks good to me, may not look good enough to you, and vice versa, so my answer doesn't necessarily relate to you.

Have you messed with the diopter? A lot of people bypass it, it helps make crosshairs thicker if set correctly to your eye. Try that if you haven't yet. I'd hate for you to buy this, when a diopter adjustment could have helped your Diamondback. I'm going to drop the price to 575.00 for the scope, 600 for scope with rings. I'll get back to you tomorrow with my opinion at dusk. Have a good night.

Thanks. I'll look more closely at the diopter.
I tried it out this morning b4 work instead of dusk later on. It looked pretty good to my eyes. I turned the diopter all the way in, and the crosshair lost some of its visibility but was still decent, but again, your mileage may vary. Point your rifle at a blank wall, look at cross hair, but look away right after because your eye will focus it for you. Keep turning it out until the crosshairs look thicker when you first look at it.

I've had that issue with scopes b4 and it was my fault for not messing with the diopter. I don't want you to buy something you may not need 👍 I know I know, others might say whatever they could to get a sale, it's not how I work. Money is tight all around, only buy this if it's going to make a difference 🙏

I adjusted the diopter as you mentioned. I had initially adjusted it when the scope was mounted. No amount of adjustment improved the thickness of the crosshair to my satisfaction.
I'm not sure if the Viper crosshair is any thicker. Still checking into that.
Looking at a Meopta 3 x 18 - 50 listed in classified here. It has a lighted reticle which might be ideal for me eyes. Cost is similar.

Check google for pics of reticle differences between the vortex scopes. Am illuminated reticle should help, good luck with the search 👍

Just got a bill I wasn't expecting, so dropping price even further......

$550.00 for scope, $575.00 including rings. Shipping/Insurance included ofcourse.
