Vortex binoculars owners

I need your feedback. I just received my first pair of Vortex binos (8x32 Diamondbacks). Everything looks good but...... when I try to use them, the hinge joint is so tight I can barely move them using both hands with near death grips on each tube. Before I return these to EuroOptics I thought I would see what others have experienced. And no, this isn't my first pair of binos. I tried a drop of Kroil but that doesn't seem to help. Never picked up a pair of binos so hard to adjust as this pair. Anybody else have a similar experience?

I have had a pair of 10x40 diamond backs for ~9 years. They are stiff, but not that stiff. I don't feel that they have noticeably loosened since I got them.

My UHD's are not stiff. Just the right amount of tension.

Thanks for the input. I'm going to return these. Just way too much force required for operation. We'll see if they swap them out.

Yeah I sure do, sorry about that. They replaced a spotting scope this fall. They don't need proof of purchase or anything.
